It was the summer of 2004, after three months of apprenticeship with a nationally recognized photographer, I competed in the State of Iowa and took first place in the "Children's Outdoor" category.  Needless to say, it was an honor to receive such an award and such a blessing my son, Spencer (shown above, age three) was my subject for this winning photograph.  He was my muse then and continues to be.

I had the privilege of photographing his High School Senior photos recently and it was just as fun as back in 2004.  I taught my Son to "never stop using your imagination, never stop learning and never stop creating."  I am listening to my own advice and look forward to many more years of documenting special, timeless moments for my family and yours.
